Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an horrific crash in Co. Offaly which killed three young brothers and their friend.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an horrific crash in Co. Offaly which killed three young brothers and their friend.

The two vehicle collision between a car and a minibus happened at around 5.30pm yesterday evening, on the R420, Tullamore to Geashill road.

It's understood the four victims were all in their 20s and from Portarlington in Co. Laois.

The four men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three passengers in the minibus were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore but their injuries are described as not life threatening.

Authorities have described the scene of yesterday's crash as horrific and they're appealing for witnesses to come forward.
