FG calls for Govt to intervene in passports protest

Passport offices in Dublin and Cork are to close at 1pm as a result of industrial action by civil servants.

Public service workers are refusing to operate public counters as part of their action against cuts announced in the Budget.

Fine Gael has called on the Government to step in, saying the current situation is preventing Irish citizens from travelling abroad.
