Doherty and Moss in smoking ban breach

Pete Doherty and Kate Moss could face prosecution after violating the smoking ban at a Babyshambles gig on Monday night.

Moss wowed the Dublin audience by joining the troubled rocker on stage and singing alongside Doherty at the start of his new tour.

Damien O'Brien, manager of the Music Factory venue, where the show attracted more than 650 fans, said: "They came in the front door and chatted with the fans. Kate got up onstage at a few points and helped sing the chorus of a few songs. They both appeared to be in fine form."

However, Gardaí were less than impressed when the pair lit up cigarettes between tracks.

It is not the first time Moss and Doherty have been in trouble with the law. Last year the catwalk beauty narrowly escaped drug charges after being shamed in a British newspaper snorting cocaine in a recording studio.

Doherty pleaded guilty to drug possession charges last month.
