Murphy to return to Beverly Hills Cop

Hollywood funnyman Eddie Murphy is set to return to his roots and star in a fourth Beverly Hills Cop instalment.

Murphy became a box-office superstar following the success of the first movie in 1984, and his portrayal of cheeky Detroit detective Axel Foley.

A new movie - the first in 12 years - is currently on the storyboard, and Murphy is confident.

He says: "I have seen the new script and it is looking good."
