Cork airport crash: Report reveals concerns with engines

An interim report on last year's fatal plane crash at Cork airport has revealed concerns with the engines of the aircraft.

Six people died when the Manx2 commuter flight from Belfast came down almost a year ago.

An interim report from the Air Accident Investigation Unit has revealed that tests carried out on the aircraft found a "mismatch" in the torque being delivered from each of the two engines.

The tests also discovered an anomaly on sensors on engine number 2.

The initial investigation into the crash on February 11 last year had focused on the weather conditions and poor visibility on the morning of the crash.

The final report into the crash is not yet complete.
