Breastfeeding protest to be held outside Facebook offices
A protest will be held outside Facebook offices in Dublin today, in protest against the company's decision to ban photographs of women breastfeeding on its social networking site.
Facebook has removed the images on profile pages in recent years, and suspended the accounts where such images were posted.
As a result, angry mothers across the world are planning to hold demonstrations outside Facebook offices in different countries.
Facebook policy guidelines state that a user’s images can be deleted if they “contain nudity, drug use or other obscene content”.
Protestors say breastfeeding is a natural act and is very beneficial for a baby's development.
