'Pure filth!' Was this Mary Berry's best ever innuendo on Bake Off?

Never let it be said that, at 81 years old, Mary Berry doesn’t have it in her to get a little raunchy.

And during the semi-final episode of The Great British Bake Off, the octogenarian cake making genius let slip perhaps her best naughty comment ever.

She was in the midst of discussing Candice Brown’s method for creating her fondant fancies in the showstopper challenge.

Candice explained she was making cherry bakewell-inspired fondant fancies, but the judge was not sure about her method.

Mary asked: “So this will go into that hole and the juice will drizzle down into the sponge?”

Cue fans on Twitter giggling madly over her double-entendre. Like, literally – they went wild.

Apparently, it was her best moment, ever. And just in the nick of time.
