Celebrity Big Brother's Heavy D is engaged to girlfriend of one month

Celebrity Big Brother star Heavy D is ready to walk down the aisle after becoming engaged to his girlfriend of just one month.

The TV star, 43, popped the question to his new lady Bryony Anne Harris, 21, live during a radio broadcast on Thursday and he was left a happy man when she accepted.

The uniquely romantic moment between the pair – who are “obsessed” with each other – happened on Fubar radio during Lizzie Cundy’s show.

Taken by surprise as Heavy D, real name Colin Newell, got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage, YouTube personality Bryony said: “Yes, obviously, but you’re f****** mental.”

She later said: “We’ve been talking about this a lot, but I didn’t think you’d actually do it!”

Heavy D added, using his well-known catchphrase: “It’s a yes! Boom! I don’t mess about.”

Thinking ahead already, Bryony then discussed what their engagement party might be like, and she’s keen on a “crazy golf folk festival with Guinness tents”.

The day after they became engaged, Bryony made sure to show off her sparkling, reversible engagement ring on her Twitter page for all to see.

The pair met shortly after Storage Hunters UK star Heavy D left the CBB house, and Bryony got in touch with him because she loved him on the show.

After sparks flying and a quick holiday in Marbella, it seems that things are firmly on the romance train for this speedy pair.
