Irish beef to be sold as premium brand in US

Irish beef is to be sold in the US as a premium brand.

It means that meat from selected farms here can be stamped with the official D-A seal of approval.

The deal was reached after three years of talks between American agriculture authorities and Bord Bia.

It marks the start of a week-long trade mission to the United States by the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed.
