Voters to decide on naming sewage plant after Bush
7/18/2008 - 7:09:26 AMA San Francisco measure seeking to commemorate President George Bush’s years in office by slapping his name on a city sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.
The measure would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.
Backers say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Mr Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.
Voters will get the chance to vote on the proposal at the same time as they vote for Mr Bush’s successor in the White House.
