Three killed in Afghan suicide bomb
17/03/2008 - 08:52:58

An Afghan police chief said a suicide car bomber attacked international troops in Helmand province, killing three Afghan civilians.

Helmand provincial police chief Mohammad Hussein Andiwal said the suicide car bomber exploded near a military convoy in Gereshk district, killing three civilians and wounding seven others.

Mr Andiwal said he had no information on the status of the military forces.

Most troops in Helmand are British, but small teams of US Special Forces soldiers also operate there.
