Afghan and international forces have killed several militants in eastern and southern Afghanistan, the US-led coalition said today.
The coalition said its forces killed “several militants” during two separate operations yesterday in eastern Khost province and southern Helmand province.
The coalition said in a statement the troops were working with Afghan forces to target insurgents involved in roadside bomb attacks in Khost.
In Helmand, the forces were targeting a Taliban militant involved in trafficking weapons and assisting foreign fighters.
The Interior Ministry said Afghan and foreign forces killed four insurgents on Friday and Saturday in Helmand and five militants Son aturday in eastern Paktia province.
