Martin Petrov has been ruled out of Manchester City’s UEFA Cup first-leg match against AC Omonia tomorrow.Martin Petrov has been ruled out of Manchester City’s UEFA Cup first-leg match against AC Omonia tomorrow.

The Bulgarian winger has failed to recover from a knee injury in time for the first leg game and is staying at home to receive further treatment.

Michael Johnson, who has signed a new five-year contract, remains doubtful with a groin problem but travelled there with the rest of the squad today.

Record £32.5m signing Robinho was also in the party after making his debut in the defeat by Chelsea at the weekend.

Provisional squad: Hart, Richards, Ball, Johnson, Ireland, Wright-Phillips, Robinho, Elano, Jo, Garrido, Schmeichel, Fernandez, Hamann, Dunn, Evans, Ben Haim, Sturridge, Etuhu, Kompany, Zabalata, Glauber.
