Griffin given all clear for Kerry

Kerry half-back Tommy Griffin has been given the all clear to face Derry in SundayKerry half-back Tommy Griffin has been given the all clear to face Derry in Sunday's National Football League Division 1 final.

Griffin has overcome a hamstring injury, picked up during a league game for his club Dingle last weekend, to nail down a starting spot.

In all, Kingdom manager Pat O'Shea has made two changes to the side that beat Galway last time out for this weekend's decider at Parnell Park.

Both changes are in the half-forward line with Declan O'Sullivan making his first start of the season, in place of Anthony Maher.

Meanwhile, Eoin Brosnan comes in for the injured Bryan Sheehan.



Sheehan pulled ligaments in his knee in the 0-15 to 0-10 win over Galway as his side claimed their fifth win of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Colm Cooper is on the bench for Kerry, having returned from an extended break in America.

Kerry beat Derry by a point (0-10 to 0-09) when the sides met in Round 3 of league last month.
