Jones returns for Sunderland
29/03/2008 - 14:45:38

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones has returned to the starting line-up as his club go in search of their first back-to-back Premier League victories in 126 games.

The Trinidad and Tobago international, who missed the Black Cats' first away win of the season at Aston Villa last weekend with a virus, is included along with Michael Chopra, whose goal after coming off the bench won the day at Villa Park.

Carlos Edwards, who suffered a groin injury last week, is named among the substitutes.

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has made two changes, with Carlton Cole and Jonathan Spector returning at the expense of Luis Boa Morte and James Tomkins.

Sunderland: Gordon, Bardsley, Nosworthy, Evans, Collins, Murphy, Whitehead, Reid, Richardson, Chopra, Jones.

Subs: Fulop, Edwards, Leadbitter, Yorke, O’Donovan.

West Ham: Green, Neill, Ferdinand, Spector, McCartney, Ljungberg, Parker, Mullins, Noble, Cole, Ashton.

Subs: Walker, Pantsil, Solano, Tomkins, Boa Morte.

Referee: Andre Marriner.
