Cragg targets top 10 finish in World Championships
28/03/2008 - 19:13:16

There is a general consensus that the fastest athletes in the World Cross Country championships
this Sunday in Edinburgh will come from Africa, but Ireland's Alastair Cragg's also wants to be among the early finishers in Olympic Year.

Track form is what will count later on in the year and there will still be plenty time to hit the qualifying
mark for the Beijing Games after this weekend's event but Sunday's run will be a good early indication for athletes in the midst of preparations for the China Olympics.

The South African born athlete who made his debut for Ireland at the 2003 European Championships
where he finished a respectable 8th is aiming to show he can still deliver that type of performance.
