Clare too much for plucky London
20/04/2008 - 20:12:39

London 1-12 Clare 2-13

Goals in either half from Michael O'Shea and Stephen Hickey ensured the long journey to Ruislip was a fruitful one for Clare today.

Clare led by 1-06 to 0-01 after 18 minutes, but a Paul Hehir goal inspired a London comeback and they trailed by six points at half-time.

Although London cut the gap to two points after the interval, Clare stood firm.

Hickey's goal helped Frank Doherty's charges on their way, along with some fine defending from the Banner's rearguard.
