A second yellow card for Mattie Forde was the only disappointment for the hosts today as Wexford booked a spot in next weekend's Division 3 final.

Wexford kicked the bulk of their tally from play, including well-taken goals from Forde (1-04) and Shane Roche.

The hosts led by 2-12 to 0-07 as the game entered the final quarter but Louth failed to give up.

Despite Shane Lennon, Darren Clarke and Colm Judge all contributing to the visitors' tally, Wexford had enough of a cushion to prevail.
