Cup hero Kanu likely to miss league clash
07/04/2008 - 12:30:24

Portsmouth’s FA Cup semi-final hero Kanu will find himself back on the bench when Harry Redknapp’s side travel to West Ham tomorrow.

Kanu is set to be replaced by in-form Jermain Defoe, who was cup-tied for Saturday’s 1-0 Wembley win over West Brom.

Redknapp will again be without the services of right midfielder John Utaka because of a hamstring injury so Papa Bouba Diop continues to deputise.

Defender Hermann Hreidarsson could make way for Lauren to rest an injured Achilles. Linvoy Primus (knee) and Noe Pamarot (Achilles) remain sidelined.

Team (from): James, Ashdown, Johnson, Distin, Campbell, Hreidarsson, Lauren, Aubey, Diop, Diarra, Muntari, Kranjcar, Davis, Mendes, Hughes, Defoe, Baros, Kanu, Nugent.
