Louth win close-fought contest 06/04/2008 - 21:06:15
Louth 2-7 Sligo 0-12
Sligo's long journey to Dundalk ended in defeat today as second-half goals from Shane Lennon and Colm Judge helped Louth gain a slender victory.
It was a 75th-minute point from Ronan Carroll that stole the win for the hosts.
The Connacht champions had made an excellent start and were fully deserving of their 0-6 to 0-2 interval advantage.
Eamon McEnaney's home side responded well on the restart however to record their third league win of the season.
