Phillips blow for club and country
28/03/2008 - 10:30:42

Wales scrum-half Mike Phillips will be out of action for six months after damaging knee ligaments during the Ospreys’ EDF Energy Cup semi-final win over Saracens last weekend.

Phillips is to undergo an operation next week after suffering a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament and a grade-two tear to the medial collateral ligament.

He will miss the Ospreys challenge for an EDF Energy Cup and Heineken Cup double and Wales’ summer tour to South Africa.
