Kavanagh gives in-form Bray victory
09/05/2008 - 22:58:59

Bray Wanderers 1 Drogheda United 0

Paddy Kavanagh celebrated his award as Player of the Month for April by scoring the winner for in-form Bray as they toppled the champions to make it four wins in a row at the Carlisle Grounds and go fourth in the table.

Kavanagh struck for his fourth goal of the season on 37 minutes when working a one-two with Ger Rowe to shoot home.

But Drogheda were livid at not getting a penalty when defender Derek Foran clearly handled on the line after just two minutes - an incident that went unseen by referee Paul Tuite.
