Cork overcome nine-man Sligo

Cork put defeat in their last two games behind them to delight 3,500 fans and beat in-form Sligo who finished with nine men.

Dave Mooney was Cork's matchwinner with a stunning goal after nine minutes, finding the net with a rising drive from the edge of the area.

Sligo had defender Jamie McKenzie sent off on 60 minutes when booked for diving, his second yellow card.

Left-back Chris Butler was also dismissed by referee Declan Hanney for two fouls inside 60 seconds a minute from time.
