Harps strike twice to get point
09/05/2008 - 22:58:04

Galway United 2 Finn Harps 2

Gutsy Harps twice came from behind to end their run of six straight league defeats at bottom of the table Galway.

John Russell put Galway ahead on 29 minutes, but harps hit back within two minutes when Conor Gethins scored his second goal of the season - Harps' first goal in 635 minutes of league football.

Jay O'Shea restored the Tribesmen's lead ten minutes into the second.

But Harps refused to lie down and Stephen Parkhouse scored his first goal of the season on 71 minutes to earn them a point.
