Sixth-seeded Andy Roddick retired from his semi-final match with Stanislas Wawrinka at the Rome Masters today.Sixth-seeded Andy Roddick retired from his semi-final match with Stanislas Wawrinka at the Rome Masters today.

Trailing 3-0 and just 15 minutes into the match, the 25-year-old American conceded with an apparent injury.

Wawrinka’s opponent in Sunday’s championship will be the winner of the match between world number three Novak Djokovic and Radek Stepanek, who upset world world number one Roger Federer yesterday.
