Brennan's early goal gives Bohs a lift
10/05/2008 - 21:24:18

Cobh Ramblers 0 Bohemians 1

Killian Brennan's early goal and a Brian Murphy penalty save moved Bohemians to within four points of leaders St. Patrick's Athletic as Cobh slumped to a first home defeat in 21months.

Left winger Brennan scored what proved the winner on 14 minutes when side-footing home Neale Fenn's pass from close range.

Cobh blew a chance to level on 54 minutes when Ken Oman handled a Michael Mulconry cross inside the area.

But John Kearney's weak spot kick was saved by Murphy diving to his left.
