Westmeath unchanged for championship opener
09/05/2008 - 13:51:57

Westmeath manager Tomas OWestmeath manager Tomas O'Flaharta has stuck with the same 15 that started in the NFL Division Two final for his side's championship opener against Longford on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Garry Connaughton continues to lead the team in the absence of former All-Star Dessie Dolan.

The forward aggravated a long-standing hamstring injury in the closing stages of the win over Dublin, but will be on the bench for this weekend's clash.

Longford boss Luke Dempsey, meanwhile, has delayed naming his starting line-up until after training this evening.

The Farrell brothers are both struggling with injury, while midfielder Paddy Dowd and defender Paul Kelly are also doubts.
