Two held in major operation against Limerick criminals

Gardaí have seized guns and drugs during a major operation against organised crime in Limerick this morning.

More than 250 officers were involved in the raids on 150 premises in Limerick and surrounding counties, as well as in Dublin.

Cocaine and ecstasy worth around €200,000 has been seized, along with two firearms and ammunition, computers, documents, a car, a motorcycle and €100,000 in cash.

It is thought that 120 houses, 15 offices and seven businesses were targeted during the raids.

Three men in their late 20s have been arrested and are being held at garda stations in Limerick.
