Kenny: 'Don't use Lisbon vote to punish the Government '
5/13/2008 - 3:16:13 PMFine Gael leader Enda Kenny is urging the country's voters to hold fire on using the Lisbon Treaty referendum as a means of highlighting dissatisfaction at the way the country is being run.
Some lobbyists have indicated that they plan to campaign for a No vote to send a strong message to the government about the way it's handling the health service and other areas attracting widespread criticism.
But speaking at the launch of the party's poster campaign in Dublin this afternoon the opposition leader wants to sideline party politics for the upcoming European vote and is asking people dissatisfied with current coalition policies to deliver their verdict in the next election.
