Girl, 14, dies in Louth road accident

A 14-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car in Co Louth last night.

The incident happened at around 9pm, while the girl was walking on the Castleblaney Road at Rassan in Hackballscross.

The N53 Dundalk to Castleblaney road is currently blocked at Rassan to allow for a technical examination of the scene.
