Flynn denies discussing Quarryvale with Gilmartin 09/04/2008 - 16:03:37
The Former Minister for the Environment Padraig Flynn has denied discussing the zoning of the Quarryvale development with Tom Gilmartin.
At the Mahon Tribunal this afternoon, it was put to Mr Flynn that in late 1989, around the time that Mr Gilmartin was seeking tax designation for the land at Quarryvale, he met with Mr Gilmartin a number of times.
At the time Mr Flynn was the minister responsible for the designation of land under the urban renewal scheme.
In 1989, Padraig Flynn got a donation of IR£50,000 from the developer, which he claims was a personal political donation, but Mr Gilmartin maintains it was for Fianna Fáil.
