The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is coming under growing pressure to explain contradictions surrounding his evidence to the Mahon Tribunal.
Last week, a former secretary at Mr Ahern's constituency office told the tribunal that lodgements she made to his bank account and those of his daughters were the proceeds of Sterling exchanges.
The Taoiseach has said the lodgements were from his pay cheques.
Yesterday, PD leader Mary Harney and Green Party leader John Gormley both said they would like Mr Ahern to explain the situation in order to dispel public disquiet.
However, reports this morning say he is continuing to insist that he will not do so until his next appearance before the tribunal, which will not happen until after May 20.
