Collins scheduled to give Tribunal evidence today
13/03/2008 - 07:39:43

The Taoiseach's close friend Tim Collins is scheduled to give evidence to the Mahon Tribunal today.

The tribunal has already heard that Mr Collins set up the mysterious B/T account from which Celia Larkin received a £30,000 loan in 1993.

Bertie Ahern told the tribunal that the account was a "building trust" set up to hold funds for repairs to his St Luke's constituency office in north Dublin.

Mr Collins, a trustee of St Luke's, was originally due to give evidence last month.

However, the tribunal rescheduled his appearance because it wanted time to study documentation from Fianna Fáil's Dublin Central constituency.
