Teachers and parents to protest at education cuts

Teachers and parents are taking to the streets of Tullamore in Co Offaly today, in protest against the education cuts contained in last month's Budget.

The rally has been organised by the Irish National Teacher's Organisation and members from Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Meath, Westmeath, Longford and Tipperary are expected to take part.

Protestors are gathering at the Tullamore Court Hotel at around 1pm and will then march to O'Connor Square.
