Bruton to face questions over Lisbon rejection
30/10/2008 - 11:46:36

Former Taoiseach John Bruton is due to appear today before the Oireachtas sub-committee examining Ireland's future role in the EU.

Mr Bruton is currently the EU's Ambassador to the United States.

He will face questions about how Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty has affected its reputation on the international stage.

He will also be asked if the vote has affected Ireland's ability to attract foreign investment.
