Man injured in Antrim crossbow attack
17/05/2008 - 12:13:11

A man has been treated in hospital after being shot with a crossbow, police said today.

He received a hand injury when another man in a motorcycle helmet fired the weapon at him as he stood at the front door of his home on the Lisnamurrican Road in the Broughshane area of Ballymena, Co Antrim.

The incident happened after another man, also wearing a biking helmet, called at the house just after 11.30pm last night to ask for directions.

Police have not yet established a motive for the attack and have called on witnesses to come forward.
