Growing up is hard to do, as this little charmer from 'Bend It Like Beckham' director Chada shows.
Based on a series of books by Louise Rennison, the film enters the complex world of the teenage female: a world of spots, dysfunctional families, boys and snogging.
There is a lot going on in, and for, the film and a terrific cast gives it their all in what is really a nifty comedy drama.
