Remake of horror classic is truly uninspiring

One of my favourite horror films is John Carpenter’s Halloween. Unfortunately, Rob Zombie’s remake is truly uninspiring.

Why bother trying to remake a classic, especially when you can’t improve on the original.

Zombie, who wrote and directed Halloween Uncut (Paramount; €24.99), explains some of his motives in an accompanying commentary, plus there are deleted scenes and an alternate ending.
