A fine conspiracy thriller 28/03/2008 - 19:51:34
Theo Van Gogh’s The Sixth of May (Bluebell, e24.99) is a fine conspiracy thriller built around a fictionalised account of the assassination of right-wing Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn.
Although it helps if you know a little about Dutch politics, there’s an eerie echo in the film content — Van Gogh was himself murdered by a Muslim fanatic.
