Stewart wants to make R&B album 09/05/2008 - 17:05:37
Legendary singer Rod Stewart is refusing to retire because he has an assortment of projects he is desperate to complete first - including an R&B album and a movie.
Stewart is in the fifth decade of his successful career, which has seen him score six consecutive number one albums and six number one hit singles in his native Britain.
But the 63-year-old star isn't finished performing, insisting he has a few surprises in store for his fans.
He says: "There is still this R&B album I want to do. There's a Country Western album I'd love to do, although the record company doesn't want it.
"We are still in the throes of talking about it. I very much doubt whether we will get it done this year."
And along with a "fifth and final American Songbook", he adds he would "love to make a movie, just for posterity".
