Concussion leaves Power hospitalised

Richie Power was taken to hospital with suspected concussion after being taken off in yesterday’s All-Ireland quarter-final.

The Carrickshock man collided with Wayne McNamara just before-half-time and had to be assisted off the pitch. Brian Cody said he wasn’t aware of the full extent of the injury: “I don’t know to be honest but I don’t think it’s too bad.”

However, it is understood Power was hospitalised but should be fit for Sunday fortnight’s All-Ireland semi-final against Tipperary.
