Anger over leaked photos

The defence lawyer who represented one of the men cleared of honeymooner Michaela McAreavey’s murder has called for an inquiry into the leaking of graphic images of her body and the crime scene to a newspaper.

There was widespread condemnation following the publication of the photographs yesterday in Mauritius’s Sunday Times.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the Government will lodge a formal complaint with the government of Mauritius.
