Market falls as Spain move digested

The Iseq index slipped 5.29 points yesterday to close at 3,042.88.

Spain bowed to the inevitable over the weekend and confirmed it is to request financial assistance for the purpose of restructuring its financial sector.

The fund, which is expected to be in the region of €100bn, will be sufficient to meet all possible capital requirements for Spain’s banking sector as well as an additional safety margin.
