AS he said himself, Jack Kavanagh should do the math (‘US student fund an obscene waste of money’, Letters, March 4).

€20 million divided by 60-plus students divided by 5-plus years equals approx €66,666, or less, per student per year — not €330,000 as Mr Kavanagh miscalculates.
