Only seven homes left and price is right at na Prapóga

THE name means ‘round stack’ in old Irish, but na Prapóga at Chickley’s Road, Youghal is stacked more squarely around three large greens.

The new Brompton homes scheme has been drastically reduced in price, with a prompt response from buyers, says Fiona Hennessy of Sherry FitzGerald Hennessy, who says only seven houses remain of a total of 33.

These include two detached houses of 154.45 square metres at €250,000, including carpets, cookers, washing machines, fridge-freezer and tiling.

The showhouse, with full fit out from Casey Furniture, (down to teaspoons), is for sale at €295,000, and includes an optional conservatory, normally costing an extra €25,000.

A large, three-bed, the type B, makes up the remaining five houses, and these are priced at €165,000, down from a high of €272,500.

Again, the fully finished show house is on offer at €189,000 and the remaining houses also come with full painting, tiling, carpeting and appliances.

Builders Brompton Homes have 106 houses planned for na Prapóga, and will offer smaller scale three-bed semis, starting at €149,500 and townhouses in the next phase.

The profile of buyers has been quite unusual too, says Fiona Hennessy, with approximately half coming from Cork to downsize to the sea, while others are mostly local, first-time buyers.
