Horrifying proposal

I WRITE to record my absolute horror at the suggestion of so-called Human Rights Watch that abortion should be freely available in Ireland.

As co-ordinator of the Irish chapter of The Benenson Society – a human rights organisation founded in memory of Peter Benenson, founder of Amnesty International – I call upon all those concerned about real human rights to get out and campaign against those who masquerade under a human rights banner in a movement that would kill innocent babies in the womb.

I salute the Government in its steadfast respect for the unborn and I pray that long may this continue.
