THE asking price is €365,000, €1,000 for every day in the year – and once you’re home, you won’t leave for years.
So says auctioneer Conor Smith of 11, Bracken Wood, in Blarney, Cork – a real walk-in, quality job, he adds.
The six-year-old house, built by Cumnor Construction, has been finished out internally to a very high standard, and quite probably the owners got a taste for design while doing it, as they now want to build an even larger one-off home from scratch.
It is already a desirable trading-up option for others, as the part-brick and part-render facaded house has close to 1,600 sq ft of space and four bedrooms, says Mr Smith of Property Team O’Sullivan Estates.
Bracken Wood is about a 10-minute walk out from Blarney, and No 11 is in the cul de sac, facing a green.
Accommodation within includes two reception rooms, sun room and kitchen/dining room with units (and eight-person seating island) in Pippi oak and with Belfast granite tops. There’s also a utility and guest WC. Most rooms have satellite TV points, and upstairs are four bedrooms, all with built-ins, and one is en suite, plus main bathroom with shower.
The hedge-surrounded back garden has a patio seating area, a little removed from the house, and a brick-paved front drive.
