Family-owned telecom firm sees profits soar to €2.5m

KILLARNEY Telecommunications saw a four-fold rise in profits in 2005.

The business saw pre-tax profits rise from €610,847 to €2.5 million in the year to end February 2005, according to accounts just filed.

Turnover increased from just under €9m to €24.4m. The Maynooth-based firm is owned by the Killarney family and is involved in supply of telecomsequipment and servicesfor the upgrade of power transmissions networks.
