Plan to toll existing roads
The NRA is looking at tolling existing sections of the national road network in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway in order to raise revenue for the cash-starved, roads building programme.
The review arises from an independent report which recommended tolls be applied on the Jack Lynch tunnel in Cork, the Portlaoise bypass and a number of other motorways, including another section of the M50.
