Plan to toll existing roads

MOTORISTS could be charged for using existing roads under a contentious tolling plan being drawn up by the National Roads Authority.

The review arises from an independent report which recommended tolls be applied on the Jack Lynch tunnel in Cork, the Portlaoise bypass and a number of other motorways, including another section of the M50.
