IMF praises ‘dynamic’ economy

THE Government has come in for lavish praise from the International Monetary Fund for its economic achievements.

In its annual review of Ireland’s economic performance, the IMF refers to our use of “sound policies” after the Celtic Tiger boom and our exemplary track record over the past decade of unprecedented economic growth.

The IMF said Ireland had delivered an economy that is “dynamic, open and robust,” capable of withstanding outside shocks.
